The mission of the HHOM is to glorify God by witnessing to our neighborhood through our words, actions, and resources.

In March of 2002 we began renting a building near our church to establish an informal neighborhood presence. This is the location of our Clothes Closet, where each article of clothing is sold for 50 cents. We have a small section for various books, Bibles, tracts, and other literature appropriate for neighborhood families. Volunteers from our church staff this “store front” on a regular schedule. Free coffee and cookies are available to our visitors to create a warm friendly atmosphere. In addition, the staff is trained to begin relationships with the visitors. Volunteers offer a listening ear to visitor’s needs and show Christian love and support. Those in need of further spiritual counseling are encouraged to meet with a consistory-approved counselor.

Store front ministry at 637 Michigan St., Grand Rapids, MI. Hours are Mondays (10am - 5pm, Wednesdays (6pm - 8pm) and Saturdays (1pm - 5pm). There is also a Bible Study for the neighborhood on Tuesdays (7pm - 8pm).
